Southgate – flat fire

Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters were called to a blaze at a block of flats on Tresilian Avenue, Southgate in the early hours of this morning. The whole of the second floor was gutted by the blaze. The fire also destroyed the roof.

Around 25 people left the building before the Brigade arrived.

The Brigade was called at 0033 and the fire was under control by 0311. Fire crews from Southgate and surrounding fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
