The Brigade was called to a fire in a shop and dwellings of two floors at Alexandra Avenue, South Harrow at 2145 yesterday evening.
A woman was rescued from the flat by crews wearing breathing apparatus. She was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by the ambulance service. Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire.
Around 20 firefighters from Northolt, Harrow and Ruislip fire stations attended the fire, which was under control by 2243. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
