Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a house fire on Antill Road in South Tottenham.
The first floor was badly damaged by the blaze and there was heavy smoke throughout the property.
The Brigade was called at 1453 and the fire was under control by 1617. Crews from Stoke Newington, Edmonton and Walthamstow fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
