Three people escape house fire

A man and two women escaped from a fire in a terraced house on Portnall Road, Maida Vale, W9 this afternoon.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by the fire and all three people inside the property managed to get out before the Brigade arrived. One of the  women was suffering from slight smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Willesden and Paddington fire stations were at the scene.

The Brigade was called at 1259 and the fire was under control by 1348.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
