Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters attended a fire in a four storey hotel with a basement on Ebury Street in Westminster, yesterday.
Ducting leading from the basement to the ground floor was damaged by fire. Around 50 people were evacuated from the building as a precaution.
The Brigade was called at 2349 and the fire was under control by 0128. Fire crews from Westminster, Knightsbridge and Chelsea stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
