Woman and child escape from Brentford house fire

A woman and child escaped from a serious house fire on Walnut Tree Rd in Brentford this morning.

The fire badly damaged the ground and first floor and completely gutted the property’s staircase and roof.

The woman and child who were  inside managed to get out of the terrace house before the Brigade arrived and were treated on the scene by ambulance crews.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Ealing, Chiswick, Heston and Park Royal fire stations attended the incident. The Brigade was called at 0810 and the fire was under control by 0945.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
