Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a two storey house on Coventry Road in Ilford, yesterday evening.
Around half of the first floor was damaged by fire. A man was treated by London Ambulance Service crews and was taken to hospital by HEMS.
The Brigade was called at 1913 and the fire was under control at 1945. Fire crews from Ilford, Woodford and Hainault stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
