23 July 2014

Around 20 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze in the basement of a pub in College Approach, Greenwich, last night

Thirty people left the building before the Brigade arrived and one man was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service suffering from smoke inhalation.

Part of the basement was damaged by fire.

The Brigade was called at 2046 and the fire was brought under control at  2146. Four fire engines from Greenwich, East Greenwich, Lewisham and Forest Hill fire stations attended the incident.
