Camden – flat fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters attended a fire in a block of flats of three floors, on Agar Grove, last night.

The fire damaged a communal hallway on the second floor.

Firefighters rescued two people from the building, one via a ladder from a 2nd floor window and one from inside the building via the stairs. A number of people left the building before the Brigade arrived.

The Brigade was called at 0242 and the fire was under control by 0327. Crews from Kentish Town and Holloway were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
