Kitchen fire in Italian restaurant

21 June 2012

Last night firefighters were called to a fire in the Soho branch of an Italian restaurant chain.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to the fire on Wigmore Street in Marylebone at 0156.

The fire was under control by 0306 and there were no reports of any injuries.

Fire crews from Soho, Paddington and Knightsbridge fire stations were  at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
