Ten fire engines and around 50 firefighters tackled a blaze in an industrial yard on Tavistock Road, West Drayton, overnight.
The blaze affected an open storage area and a number of pallets, tyres, vehicles and industrial units were damaged by fire. Because gas cylinders were involved in the incident, a hazard zone was set up as a precaution. Some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
The Brigade was called at 0048 and the fire was under control by 0627. Firefighters from Hillingdon, Hayes and other surrounding fire stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
