Hornchurch – restaurant fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a restaurant and offices this morning.

The fire damaged part of the ground floor. One person left the building next door before the Brigade arrived and was treated for smoke inhalation.

The Brigade was called at 1144 and the fire was under control by 1246. Fire crews from Romford, Hornchurch and Dagenham fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
