Firefighters rescued a woman from the second floor after a kitchen fire broke out in a house of three floors on Belvedere Mews in Blackheath, SE3 this afternoon.
The woman was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
Part of the ground floor was damaged by the fire.
Two fire engines and ten firefighters were called to the incident.
The Brigade was called at 1406 and the fire was under control by 1442.
Fire crews from Greenwich and East Greenwich fire station were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
