Five escape from Chiswick blaze

Five people have escaped from a house fire on Copenhagen Gardens in Chiswick W4. A man and a woman have been taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service suffering from smoke inhalation and burns. Another woman suffering from smoke inhalation has also been taken to hospital. Part of the roof and a large part of the second floor have been damaged by the blaze.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters from Ealing, Acton, and Chiswick fire stations were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 0848 and the fire was under control at 1005.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
