Two injured in car park blaze

A man and woman were injured after a fire broke out in a car park on Standard Road in Hounslow, TW4 in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The woman was suffering from minor burns to her hands and the man was suffering from smoke inhalation. Both were taking to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

The fire damaged a bin storage area on the ground floor and some of the neighbouring flats were also partly damaged.

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to the blaze at 0246 and the fire was under control by 0512.

Fire crews from Heston and Feltham fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
