Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a bulk grain store on Factory Road, Silvertown E16 on Saturday night.
The fire damaged part of the scaffolding and insulation on the 8th floor.
The Brigade was called at 006 and the fire was under control by 0130.
Fire crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Greenwich and Silvertown fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
