Fatal fire in Feltham

Firefighters tackled a fire in a flat on The Hollands in Feltham this afternoon. The maisonette flat, which was on the second and third floors, was badly damaged in the blaze and sadly a man's body was found at the scene. The body of a dog was also found.

Six fire engines from Feltham, Southall, Wembley, Kingston, Twickenham, and Heathrow fire stations went to the scene with 35 firefighters and officers. The Brigade was called at 1513 and the fire was under control at 1620.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by LFB and the Metropolitan Police.
