Wanstead house fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a terraced house on Kingfisher Avenue in Wanstead, E11 in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The fire damaged part of the first floor as well as part of the roof.

Crews from Leytonstone and Leyton fire stations were at the scene.

The Brigade was called at 0512 and the fire was under control by 0702.

The cause of the fire is accidental and is believed to have been a candle that was left unattended.
