Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a first floor flat on Deptford High Street this afternoon.
The flat, which was above a shop in a two storey building, was 20 per cent alight. A man from a neighbouring flat in the same building was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were called at 1320 and the fire was under control by 1451. Crews from Deptford, Greenwich, East Greenwich and New Cross were at the scene.
