Blackheath – pub fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters fought a fire in a two storey pub with a basement on Shooters Hill Road in Blackheath, yesterday afternoon.

A small part of the ground floor was damaged by fire, with some smoke logging in the building’s basement. A man left the property before the Brigade arrived.

The Brigade was called at 1533 and the fire was under control at 1638. Fire crews from Greenwich, East Greenwich, Lee Green and Poplar fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
