Twenty firefighters were called to tackled a fire that broke out in a launderette shop with flats above on Harrow Road in Wembley, HA9 in the early hours of Friday morning ( 6 April ).
Around twenty people living near by had to be evacuated by firefighters. The fire completely gutted the ground floor and also damaged a large part of a first floor flat.
Fire crews from Willesden, Park Royal and Wembley fire stations were at the scene. The Brigade was called at 0304 and the fire was under control by 0436. The cause of the fire was accidental.
