Fire crews fight flat fire in Lee

Firefighters tackled a fire in a ground floor flat on Westhorne Avenue, Lee, SE12 yesterday afternoon. The blaze damaged part of the three roomed flat, but fortunately no one was injured.

Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters from Lee Green and Downham fire stations attended the scene. The Brigade was called at 1425 and the fire was under control at 1453.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
