A man was rescued from a third floor by firefighters after a fire broke out in a hotel on Cambridge Heath Road in Bethnal Green, E2 today.
The man was suffering from smoke inhalation and was treated by London Ambulance Service at the scene. A further two people were lead to safety from the fourth floor by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to the fire at 1251 and the fire was under control by 1344.
Part of the third floor was damaged by the fire.
Fire crews from Whitechapel, Shadwell and Bow fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
