Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a recycling yard on North Woolwich Road in Silvertown, E16 yesterday afternoon.
Around 10 tonnes of timber was damaged by the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1558 and the fire was under control by 1742.
Fire crews from Poplar and Plaistow fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
