Eight fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a blaze in a vehicle workshop on Church Elm Lane in Dagenham this morning
The fire affected around a quarter of the building and a small part of the roof. Three people escaped from the workshop before the Brigade arrived and were treated for smoke inhalation.
The Brigade was called at 1012 and the fire was under control by 1144. Fire crews from Dagenham, Barking, Wennington, Romford and Plaistow fire stations attended the scene.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
