Camden – house fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a house fire on Lyme Street, Camden Town on Saturday evening.

Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus rescued two men from the second floor of the three storey building. Both were taken to hospital. Around three-quarters of the second floor was damaged in the blaze.

The Brigade was called at 2059 and the fire was under control at 2212. Firefighters from Belsize, Holloway, Euston and Kentish Town fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
