House fire in Chessington

Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a fire in a house of two floors on Ashby Avenue in Chessington, KT9 this afternoon.

Part of the ground floor and first floor as well as part of the external decking were damaged by the fire.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service also received multiple calls about the fire.

Fire crews from Surbiton and Hayes fire stations were at the scene.

The Brigade was called at 1559 and the fire was under control by 1649.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
