Uxbridge - man dies following fire in outbuilding

A man has died following a fire in an outbuilding on Park Road in Uxbridge, UB8 during the early hours of this morning.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus rescued the man from the brick outbuilding he was believed to be living in at the rear of a shop. He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where he was sadly later pronounced dead.

The Brigade was called at 0025 and the fire was under control by 0121. Two fire engines, 14 firefighters and officers from Hillingdon fire station attended the scene. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental at this stage.
