Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a house converted into flats on Amhurst road in Hackney E8 yesterday evening.
The fire damaged a large part of the ground floor flat. There was no one in the flat at the time of the fire.
The Brigade was called at 2112 and the fire was under control by 2147. Fire crews from Homerton, Woodford and Kingsland fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
