Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a fire in a two storey house on Bond Road in Mitcham, yesterday evening.
Around one quarter of the first floor was damaged by fire. A woman and a man were rescued from the ground floor by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. A further man left the premises before the Brigade arrived. All were treated for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 2237 and the fire was under control by 2319. Fire crews from Mitcham and Norbury fire stations were in attendance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
