Dagenham – house fire

Four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were called to a fire in a two storey house on Martin Road in Dagenham, yesterday morning.

Around half of the first floor was damaged by fire. A man and a woman left the premises before the Brigade arrived and were treated for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews 

The Brigade was called at 1117 and the fire was under control by 1203. Firefighters from Romford, Barking and Ilford stations were in attendance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
