Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a fire in a three storey block of flats on Scotland Green Road in Enfield, in the early hours of this morning.
Around five per cent of the ground floor flat was damaged by fire. A man was rescued from the ground floor by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and was treated for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 0609 and the fire was under control by 0652. Crews from Enfield fire station were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
