Charlton – house fire

Two fire engines and around ten firefighters were called to a fire in a two storey semi-detached house on Nadine Street in Charlton, yesterday afternoon.

Part of the first floor and a loft was damaged by fire. A man left the premises before the Brigade arrived and was treated for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 1312 and the fire was under control by 1401. Crews from Greenwich and Woolwich fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
