Mitcham – house fire

Two fire engines and around ten firefighters attended a fire in a two storey house on Cambridge Road in Mitcham, yesterday.

Part of the first floor was damaged by fire. A man was led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and was treated by London Ambulance Service crews.

The Brigade was called at 2007 and the fire was under control by 2030. Firefighters from Mitcham and Norbury stations attended the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
