Open Day @ Lambeth Fire Station

Come and celebrate 150 years of London Fire Brigade at our family open day.

Meet your local fire fighters, see exciting fire and rescue demonstrations plus receive fire safety advice and enjoy activities galore.

Visitors of all ages will find plenty to see and do at Lambeth fire station, thanks to a wide range of activities including demonstrations of their abilities and games for the young visitors.

Lambeth firefighters will  reveal how they deal with fires and other incidents by showing off their skills with displays and demonstrations, including abseiling from the training tower, a rope rescue demonstration and a fire fighting drill.

The crews will be on hand all day to meet and greet the visitors, answering questions and giving advice on fire safety.

There will also be firefighting equipment displays and the possibility to look back at the history of the Brigade and admire vintage engines.

Children of all ages will have lots of activities dedicated to them including a bouncy castle, sand pit and a face painting corner.

They will have the opportunity to dress up as firefighters wearing the uniforms used through the years, and have the chance to meet the talented puppies from the our Fire Investigation Team.

Hot and tasty food will be on sale throughout the day to keep visitor’s hunger at bay thanks to a BBQ.

What time?

The station open day will take place between 1100 and 1600.
